CrossFit Music City is an independently owned and operated affiliate of Crossfit HQ providing core strength and conditioning programs that attempt to optimize physical competence in cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy fitness domains.
The WHO, WHAT, WHY & WOD
WHO: From beginner, to intermediate, to experienced, it makes no difference. All levels are welcome. Classes are limited to a certain number of people, increasing personal attention from trainer to client. As trainers and clients we share a common goal; leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
WHAT: Crossfit is a strength and conditioning method combining weightlifting, kettlebell training, plyometrics, rowing, medicine ball training, jump rope, sprinting, body weight exercises and more. It is an all inclusive workout program. The workouts are ever-changing and use a broad spectrum of techniques at a relatively high intensity for time. Crossfit workouts provide all the benefits of personal training for a fraction of the cost.
WHY: The workouts are designed to help improve respiratory and cardiovascular endurance, strength, stamina, flexibility, speed, power, coordination, agility, and balance. Crossfit is challenging, fun, exciting, and pushes you to always do your best.

How Is Crossfit Different From A Traditional Gym?

For the month of October, CrossFit Music City would like to recognize Nancy Smith. Nancy came to us as a relative "blank slate" with an open mind and heart and a willingness to learn, and she has consistently demonstrated an earnest spirit in all matters, whether in regards to training or in her support of our gym, its members and the sport of CrossFit. Most notably, Nancy never loses sight of the accomplishments of today in view of what could be accomplished tomorrow, or of the enormous progress she has made since joining us. Hers is a mindset that more of us should adopt, including yours truly.
